Minimum Qualification Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics, Pure/Applied Mathematics or related field

Minimum Experience

• Have experience in predictive modelling.
• A minimum of 2 years of actuarial experience within the short-term insurance industry.

Deliverables include, but will not be limited to

•   Data gathering and analysis with a focus on claims and fraud
•   Development, implementation, monitoring and ongoing evolution of fraud models and claims-related models.
•   Building and monitoring claim-related reports and metrics
•   Collaborating and Liaising with the claims department to find new opportunities to improve operational performance, to assist with actuarial insights and data-driven recommendations.

•   Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, coupled with a curious mind.
•   Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
•   A passion for driving meaningful change within the business
•   Resilience and the ability to manage conflict, understanding that change may not always be embraced by all stakeholders.
•   Technical proficiency in SQL, Oracle, Python, R, and Excel applications is highly advantageous.
•   Agile mindset, with a willingness to adapt to changing business priorities.
•   Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.
