Purpose of the Role

Join MiWay's Actuarial department in a recently established Commissions Management function. This team is responsible for the design, governance and optimisation of commission structures across the sales, client services and claims departments. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape how we reward performance across the business by combining analytical thinking, commercial insight and people leadership.

Minimum Qualification Required

•    Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science or related field

General Experience

•    2 Years in a related field 
•    Experience designing and maintaining call centre commission structures
•    Management experience or experience acting as a mentor for others 

Overview of Role Responsibilities

•    Understand the current team dynamics, measures of performance and drivers of commission payments.
•    Analyse remuneration data and enhance current commission structures to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
•    Produce monthly reports on total staff remuneration in relation to value add of function to our business.
•    Commission forecasting and daily agent and manager reporting views.
•    Improve standardisation of commission mechanisms across different business units.
•    Automation of commission calculations.
•    Quantify and track cost savings from implemented commission changes.
•    Communicate commission models and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
•    Management of a small team of commission analysts including priority and workload management, review and sign-off of changes to commission structures. 
•    Note that due to the small team size, this role will still be very hands-on.

•    Team Leadership: Lead team of analysts through active involvement, encouragement and feedback to team members and by taking care of team's needs.

Work location

The Miway Actuarial team is based primarily in Kosmosdal, Centurion with visits to a call centre in Johannesburg.
