What will you do?
The Brand Manager will be responsible for owning and driving the Business Insurance brand strategy, ensuring strong market positioning, consistency of brand expression, and alignment to commercial growth objectives.
The role plays a critical part in shaping how the Business Insurance value proposition is perceived in the market, particularly among SMMEs, brokers, dealerships and commercial partners, while also providing strategic brand support to selected Personal Insurance initiatives to ensure alignment and synergy across product lines.
This is a commercially driven brand role that goes beyond creative execution to include positioning, messaging architecture, go-to-market strategy, and performance-driven brand building.
Success Profile
The ideal candidate must be commercially minded brand thinker who can balance strategy with execution oversight. They understand that in B2B environments, brand is not just visual identity, it is credibility, trust, and differentiation that directly influence pipeline and conversion.
They are able to operate across Business Insurance complexity while ensuring coherence across Personal Insurance touchpoints, without diluting the core commercial focus of the role.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy and Positioning (Business Insurance)
• Develop and maintain the Business Insurance brand strategy, including positioning, value proposition, and messaging framework.
• Translate business strategy into clear, differentiated brand narratives for SME and commercial audiences.
• Ensure consistent brand expression across all touchpoints, including broker communications, digital platforms, campaigns, and sales enablement tools.
• Own the development of brand guidelines specific to Business Insurance, ensuring alignment with overarching corporate brand architecture.
• Campaign and performance reporting back to internal stakeholder.
Go-to-Market and Campaign Oversight
• Lead brand input into go-to-market strategies for Business Insurance products and propositions.
• Oversee integrated marketing campaigns from a brand perspective, ensuring strategic alignment, consistency, and commercial relevance.
• Partner with the internal marketing team, agencies, and internal stakeholders to ensure campaigns reflect strong brand positioning and business objectives.
• Drive messaging clarity across acquisition, retention, and broker engagement campaigns.
B2B Brand Building and Broker Engagement
• Build and strengthen the Business Insurance brand within the broker, intermediary, and SME ecosystem.
• Develop thought leadership positioning and content strategies that reinforce credibility in the commercial insurance market.
• Support broker-facing materials, presentations, and engagement tools to ensure consistent brand storytelling.
• Manage broker calendar and events.
Personal Insurance Brand Support
• Provide strategic brand input into selected Personal Insurance campaigns and initiatives.
• Ensure alignment between Business and Personal Insurance messaging where cross-sell or integrated customer journeys exist.
• Support brand consistency across multi-product campaigns and customer communications.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
• Postgraduate qualification advantageous
Experience
• 5–7 years’ experience in brand management or integrated marketing roles
• Strong B2B and B2C marketing experience
• Experience in the insurance industry is preferred
• Proven experience developing and executing brand strategy, not only campaigns
• Experience working with brokers, SMEs, or commercial audiences is highly advantageous
Stakeholder Management and Collaboration
• Partner closely with Business Insurance, Sales, Product, and Distribution teams to align brand strategy with commercial objectives.
• Work with creative agencies, design teams, and media partners to ensure strong execution of brand direction.
• Act as a key brand custodian within cross-functional project teams.
Insights, Measurement and Optimisation
• Monitor brand health, awareness, and perception within target markets.
• Translate market insights, customer feedback, and competitor activity into actionable brand improvements.
• Contribute to post-campaign analysis to assess brand impact and effectiveness.
Events, Sponsorship and Activation
• Provide brand oversight for Business Insurance events, activations, and sponsorships.
• Ensure all brand experiences are consistent, impactful, and aligned to strategic positioning.
