The Costing Administrator is responsible for providing essential administrative and technical support to the Motor Assessing team. The role's primary function is to accurately process, calculate, and manage repair cost data throughout the claims lifecycle, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with business protocols.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualification Required
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a motor claims/insurance costings environment.
- Proven experience in the processes related to Change of Repairers and Claims Payments
Deliverables include, but will not be limited to:
Repair Costing and Data Management
- Conduct initial repair calculations and assist assessors with calculation finalization, verifying factors
such as labour rates, discounts, and adherence to repair panel utilization (e.g., Warrantees, BEE
compliance). - Process all Repair Calculation Requests (RC Requests) received from the Motor Body Repairer (MBR),
ensuring documentation is in line with the MBR Service Level Agreement (SLA). - Accurately process manual repair calculation requests, adhering to standard internal procedures.
- Perform administrative functions related to Audatex, including data entry and preparing
calculations for assessor approval. - Process data related to Change of Repairer requests and Claims Payments.
Compliance and Operational Support
- Ensure rigorous compliance with all standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal protocols within the motor assessing team.
- Assist in identifying trends and collecting data that may inform recommendations for continuous process improvement and controls.
- Assist with MBR complaints and queries, ensuring the agreed solution is followed through and documented.
- Ensure all necessary steps are taken to mitigate any risk of customer dissatisfaction during the costing process.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the complete end-to-end process regarding a motor claim and the associated repair process.
Stakeholder Liaison and Administration
- Liaise effectively with repairers, suppliers, and service providers to ensure relevant, accurate, and timely feedback is given where required.
- Ensure all processes are followed when engaging with internal and external stakeholders, consistently acting with fairness, integrity, and professionalism.
- Adhere strictly to agreed turnaround times (TATs) for all administrative and processing tasks to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all relevant statistics and reports are updated timeously and with absolute accuracy.
