What will you do?
Responsible for providing daily, weekly and monthly MIS reports. Duties include compiling and presenting divisional and functional reports, data trend and analysis. Ensures month end runs are accurate and timeous, support clients with regard to ad-hoc reports and queries. The incumbent has a complete and clear understanding of the database. Responsibilities include the co-ordination and management of changes to the MIS database, the streamlining of MIS reports and process across the business.

Minimum qualifications required
• Matric (Grade 12) – essential
• Diploma or Certificate in (advantageous):
o Business Administration
o Finance
o Insurance
• Solid Understanding of DebiCheck
• Solid Understanding of premium collection strategies
• Understand reconciliation processes
• Proficient in Microsoft functionality – Excel, word etc
Minimum experience
• 2–5 years’ experience in:
Insurance premium collection
Premium collection administration or policy administration
• Insurance Premium Collection Administration:
Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in collections administration, data analysis, or a similar quantitative role
• Industry expertise:
Experience within Short-Term Insurance or the broader Financial Services sector (advantageous)
• Analysis experience:
Proven ability to interpret and analyze premium collection data
• SQL:
Basic working understanding
Key deliverables and responsibilities
Premium Collection Processing
• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly premium collection processes
• Resolve premium allocation and reconciliation queries
• Maintain accurate system notes and customer interaction records
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory and internal policy requirements
• Collaborate with finance, policy administration, and customer service teams
• Identify collection and payment issues early and resolve with minimal impact to clients and the company
• Ensure all process documentation is current, accurate, and relevant
• Interpretation of premium collection strategies
• Reconciliation of collected premiums and reporting thereof
Reporting Delivery and Implementation
• Analyze existing legacy reports and optimize them for efficiency
• Drive standardization across the business to ensure consistency in performance metrics
• Set up, maintain, and administer collections reporting processes
Stakeholder Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Act as a trusted advisor to ensure BI and reporting outputs meet strategic requirements
• Proactively identify trends, performance anomalies, and commercial opportunities
• Translate insights into clear, impactful reporting and presentations for executive audiences
