What will make you successful in this role?
Minimum Qualification and Experience Required
• Tertiary Qualification (LLB/ Bcom Law/ BA Law)
• 5+ years in the financial services specifically insurance industry
• Sound knowledge of the financial services industry and the application legislation, regulations, standards, good practices
• FAIS Compliance Officer
Deliverables include, but will not be limited to
• Drafting, reviewing and implementing compliance policies and procedure documents;
• Providing proactive and responsive advisory support on compliance related matters;
• Reviewing and updating the regulatory universe and communicating changes to relevant stakeholders;
• Developing, completing and maintaining Compliance Risk Management Plans (CRMP’s) to respond to regulatory changes and to address shortfalls;
• Assist with the responsibility for the design of and implementation of systems and controls to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations impacting Miway;
• Researching and communicating applicable legislative developments to all stakeholders
• Developing and providing compliance training and awareness;
• Perform ad hoc monitoring of relevant compliance controls within the business areas;
• Drafting of compliance reports to various stakeholders.
