What will make you successful in this role?

Key Responsibilities:

Stakeholder Management / Business Partnership:

  • Develops innovative methods of improving customer experience, candidate quality, process, and efficiency.
  • Utilises data analytics to improve talent acquisition efficiency, drive innovation and influence hiring decisions.
  • Be a seasoned Talent advisor sharing external and internal insights and establish Talent Acquisition as a business partner vs a support function.
  • Leverage insights into market realities talent availability, market salaries, diversity of candidates etc. to make informed recommendations to hiring managers.
  • Use internal insights to optimise talent acquisitions measures of success time to fill, candidate experience, hiring manager experience, quality of hire, cost of hire.
  • Recommend and agree a customised sourcing strategy for each vacancy that will attract the best candidate for the role, including messaging, social media strategy, channels, referrals etc.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with Heads of businesses, hiring managers and HRBPs to stay abreast of current and future hiring and business needs.
  • Provide professional talent acquisition advice to line, departmental managers and HRBP on Talent acquisition best practice and effective and segmented sourcing approaches (i.e., job portals, social media etc.)

Talent Acquisition:

  • Develop and implement the talent acquisition strategy per department in collaboration with the HRBP.
  • Formulate best practice sourcing, innovative talent acquisition and selection techniques and practices, including job posting optimisation, acquisition channel development, digital and non-digital marketing, campaign planning, etc.
  • Research and recommend strategies to promote the employer brand.
  • Contribute to shaping and leading our hiring practices, ensuring scalability as we continue to accelerate our time to fill.
  • Provide informed reporting and managing information on talent acquisition activity and forecasting.
  • Coach and mentor team members.
  • Proactively manage an exceptional and standardised candidate experience throughout every touchpoint.
  • Lead and engage in recruitment branding outreach events.
  • Use data insights to shape current and future hiring goals and initiatives.
  • Be a MiWay ambassador and build our employer brand as a Top Employer for top talent.
  • Assisting with talent mapping, improving our EVP and anything else that will enhance the candidate's journey beyond the hiring process.
  • Candidate Sourcing:
  • Actively network and generate talent pool and pipeline by remaining in close contact with current employees, potential candidates, and their networks (both passive and active).

Talent Acquisition Analysis and Reporting:

  • Continuously analyse trends related to sourcing, recruitment methods and industry best practice share insights with HR and business.
  • Compliance & Advisory:
  • Ensure organisation complies with best practice and legislation through awareness, communication & training.
  • Skills Development:
  • Contribute to team development through knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the upskilling and sharing of best practices with Talent Acquisition team. 

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum Qualification Required

•    Relevant bachelor’s degree in HR/ Industrial Psychology

Minimum Experience

•    A minimum of 3 years demonstrable recruiting experience i.e., in interviewing and assessing potential and onboarding processes.
•    Understanding of labour market and labour legislation in South Africa.
•    Proven ability to manage multiple jobs (at least 20) effectively at the same time.
•    Proficient in using company application tracking systems and databases to process candidates. 
•    Skilled in LinkedIn search methods.
•    Experience working with candidate management systems
