Sanlam Life and Savings has embarked on a strategic journey to establish a new world “Client and Intermediary Experience” or “CX” function to deliver the client and intermediary facing solutions and tools in support of Sanlam’s digital transformation. In accordance, Sanlam’s CX vision is to create engagements and experiences which help our clients to live with confidence, be inspired and assist in guiding them towards their financial aspirations.


The purpose of the Marketing Manager role is to support the Senior Marketing Manager : Client and Intermediary Experience in executing the Sanlam Retail marketing strategy and priority campaigns.


The key responsibilities of the role include the following:


• Contribute to the development and evolution of the retail marketing strategy, organisation and value proposition.
• Brief, develop and implement the retail priority campaigns that support a strong value proposition.
• Ensure campaign messaging aligns with retail value proposition and supports Brand.
• Successful delivery of priority campaigns through agile methodology.
• Participate in and provide input into agile pods and campaigns.
• Ensure timeous post campaign analysis and campaign reporting against campaign targets.
• Provide marketing support to retail businesses and cluster-wide initiatives.
• Ensure alignment of all product campaigns with retail value proposition and priority campaigns.
• Sound stakeholder relationships – both internal (business units) and external (agency partners).

Role Requirements:


Qualifications:


• B.Comm degree in Marketing Management, Public Relations or related discipline.


Experience:


• 7 years’ relevant experience in marketing and communications management.
• 3 years’ experience within the Insurance and/or Financial Services Industry.
• Experience in brand management, campaign design and implementation.
• Proven track record in developing, executing and administering a marketing program.
• Proven track record of executing various marketing and communication initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience in agile marketing practices will be an advantage.
• Experience in fast moving consumer goods will be an advantage.


Knowledge:


• Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media practices.
• Knowledge of marketing analytics and return on Investment (ROI) measurements.
• Knowledge of managing multiple campaigns and action various initiatives.
