What will you do?

This particular position is focused on supporting the adviser component of SanlamConnect Intermediaries and the successful incumbent will operate on JG 11. The role reports to the National Support Manager (Advisers): SanlamConnect Intermediaries. As the incumbent will focus on administrative processes, business related activities and projects that are key to driving and attaining the SanlamConnect: Intermediaries strategy.  

The incumbent will primarily be responsible to prepare for and action key tasks relating to and stemming from business meetings, investigating and resolving complaints and queries, driving business issues,  implementing new business processes, and undertaking back-office support functions to the channel.  

The incumbent will also manage the assistant support co-ordinator in the Support office

The role has the following main responsibilities, amongst others
•    Business meetings and actioning of resultant activities/tasks. The incumbent will be involved in meetings and gatherings such as SC Exco meetings, SC Sales Exco meetings, Elite Adviser workshops,  Workshops for top-newcomers, to name a few. Responsibilities include 
o    Prepare/structure agendas in conjunction with the person responsible for the meeting
o    Assimilate/source pre-reading preparation and distribute this and agenda well in time to all attendees
o    Attend meetings and construct correct and quality minutes of discussions and actions/decisions of the meetings
o    Distribute minutes and action lists to attendees within agreed SLA’s
o    Contract deliverables from action lists with responsible task-owners and drive the various tasks with regular detailed feedback to meeting attendees and other interested parties

•    Complaints, enquiries, investigations and projects.  Responsibilities include
o    Handling high-level complaints, do investigations and construct appropriate replies
o    Driving actions, panel discussions and applicable communication to advisers and management stemming from remedial processes with advisers
o    Do investigations into businesses processes/procedures/operations as requested from time, report on findings and make recommendations to rectify or improve where applicable
o    Represent SC Intermediaries in projects relating to the business
o    Report on important business processes and ensure maintenance/improvement of them on a continuous basis
o    Handling enquiries from management and advisers 
o    Recommend process or procedural changes stemming from queries/complaints/investigations that aim to rectify problem areas, reduce business risks or bring about more effective operations
o    Initiate/build new processes to support strategic initiatives where required

•    Other back office support
o    Stand in/attend meetings that impact on SC Intermediaries on behalf of senior management from time to time when required
o    Drafting of internal communications for GM: SC Intermediaries or Support Manager on request
o    Assist management with support in terms of information and data should it be required  
o    Manage performance and deliverables of the assistant support-coordinator
o    Supporting the LTA process in SC Intermediaries

Qualification & experience 

•    Matric
•    Applicable experience within the operational/administrative side of the Intermediaries business
•    Financial Services experience

    Financial Services Industry Knowledge; 
    Basic/overall Sanlam Product Knowledge
