Apart from the bursary funding, Sanlam also provides additional emotional support to its own bursary recipients. Our bursary-holder liaison officer focuses on ensuring that bursary holders receive all the support they need.

The Sanlam Group has a 26-person Sanlam Committee for Actuarial Support comprising of actuarial students, qualified actuaries and business representatives. The committee was designed to drive attraction, retention, and support for actuaries in the business. The committee’s initiatives include the mentoring of graduates and bursary students, information sessions, study guidance and vacation work experience.
