What will you do?
This is a specialist level role reporting to the Finance Manager. The main purpose of the role is to ensure sound financial management of both cost and income aspects within SanlamConnect. This includes overseeing the month-end financial processes, fulfilling a business partnering relationship that guides and advises senior management, developing and maintaining financial models for cost and income, optimizing cost efficiencies, and driving improvements in financial processes and controls, budgeting and forecasting. Key responsibilities including;
• Manage the month-end processes (incl. consolidated reports, variance analysis and forecasting)
• Oversight of the procurement processes
• Undertake effective annual budgeting process
• Provide sound financial management of cost and income
• Drive financial process improvements and control effectiveness
• Participate in projects
• Stakeholder and client management
• Coach and support junior staff
What will make you successful in this role?
Qualification & experience
• BTech in Finance or B Comm with accounting as major (preferably with accounting articles).
• 3-5 years experience as financial business partner/controller in sales/distribution environment in financial services.
