What will you do?

 

Core Tasks:

 

  • Expense reporting which includes consolidation of SRA expenses, SRA Corporate expense reporting and unit cost reporting.
  • Expense projection updates for SRA e.g. Deferred share scheme. 
  • Review & analysis of expense reports (e.g. IT costs, Functional costs) submitted to Group.
  • VNB & PVP reporting, preparing of VNB report and loading numbers on HFM for Group submissions.
  • Assisting with Profit reporting for SRA- quarterly, interim & year end reporting. 
  • VAT reporting, monthly VAT reviews and ad-hoc queries.
  • Budget & Forecast reporting iro VNB, PVP & expenses.  Preparing SRA consolidated reports for VNB, PVP & expenses including budget submissions on HFM to Group.
  • Assisting with preparation and review of SRA Management & SRA Budget reports e.g. CFO reports, Budget presentations & Budget reports
  • Quarterly Economic shock submissions to Group Actuarial.
  • Interim & year end – Assets info for HFM (i.e. PPE note); admin expense note on HFM.
  • Support and development of accounting solutions (e.g. SAP).
  • SAP super user role within wider Finance reporting team.

What will make you successful in this role?

 

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA).

 

Experience :

  • 3 - 5 years’ experience in a financial reporting environment.

 

Knowledge:

  • Good technical accounting knowledge.
  • Knowledge of Sanlam’s financial reporting systems (Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) & SAP) will be an advantage.
  • Understanding of IFRS17 profits and value of new business (VNB).
  • Computer literate (MS Office with advanced Excel skills in practice)
