Role Description

As an Intermediate Analyst in CDH (Customer Data Hub), you will be embedded in delivery teams to translate business needs into usable data solutions. You’ll take ownership of requirements, analysis, and design phases - as well as confirming results align with requirements, while collaborating with engineers and stakeholders to shape impactful data products. This role is ideal for someone who has foundational experience and is ready to deepen their technical and strategic capabilities.

What will you do?

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Facilitate workshops to understand and shape customer needs.
  • Translate stakeholder input into clear, actionable user stories.
  • Document functional and non-functional requirements with clarity
  • Estimate effort and identify data sources and SME involvement.

 

Data Analysis & Solution Design

  • Ensure a full understanding of the Solution and the customer profile.
  • Perform data profiling and quality checks using SQL, HANA, or IDQ/IDMC.
  • Create Source-to-Target mappings and groom target data structures.
  • Contribute to BI reporting and visualization design.
  • Apply data modelling techniques (Kimball, Inmon, Data Vault).
  • Experiment and apply knowledge within the cloud platform

 

Data Modelling (including Data Vault)

  • Understand and apply Data Vault 2.0 principles, including raw and business vault structures.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects to map source data to hubs, links, and satellites.
  • Participate in peer reviews of vault designs and contribute to improving modelling standards.
  • Use Modelling tools like ER/Studio or equivalent to document and communicate data models.
  • Support the grooming of target models for reporting and analytics, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Designing of Kimball data models, with a focus on Information Marts

 

Testing & Validation

  • Define test logic and write reusable test scripts.
  • Assist In the automation of test scripts and design processes
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of data solutions
  • Collaborate with QA teams to validate business requirements.

 

Governance & Metadata

  • Own metadata sets and contributes to cataloging efforts.
  • Use tools like EBX to support governance and lineage tracking.

 

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Co-lead requirement sessions and demos.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications
  • Build networks of SMEs and foster cross-team collaboration

What will make you successful in this role?

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3–5 years in a data related role
  • Proficiency in SQL and data profiling tools.
  • Data warehousing knowledge and data modelling experience (Kimball and Data Vault patterns are preferred)
  • Experience with metadata management tools such as EBX/Axon is preffered.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery and data governance frameworks.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
