What will you do?

The role is primarily responsible to ensure the effective delivery of both the sales management remuneration and incentives functions within SanlamConnect.

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Serve on the REMS Manco to provide operational leadership
  • Undertake ongoing evaluation of existing incentive and remuneration models to assess their effectiveness
  • Initiate new or adjusted remuneration/incentive models or policies to enable improvements or fulfil new business requirements
  • Undertake collaborative consultations across the business (including at an Executive level) to undertake new policy development
  • Drive implementation of new/adjusted remuneration and incentives models.
  • Undertake the annual review of selected models
  • Monitor and ensure the correct monthly remuneration payments and incentive results.
  • Liaise with applicable GMs, REs and RGMs to construct remuneration offerings to new appointments, customise individual models to address unique situations.
  • Oversee processes, enhancements (including automation) and risk mitigating actions
  • Have oversight of the application of portfolio management principles to ensure national parity.  
  • Oversee recommendations to GMs re. income guarantees, adjustments, exceptions, etc.
  • Resolve escalated high-level queries and complex situations where needed.

Qualification and experience

  • Grade 12
  • 3-5 years financial services/distribution experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience in management remuneration and incentives, campaigns and awards field
