Positions Overview
The Operations Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence across Sanlam Credit Solutions. The role ensures the smooth functioning of all platforms, effective performance management, operational reporting, risk mitigation, and the execution of strategic projects and integrations. This position plays a central role in optimising the SCS credit ecosystem and supporting business growth.
What will you do?
Key Responsibilities
Performance Management
- Ensure stability, availability, and optimal performance of all SCS platforms.
- Monitor daily registrations and resolve operational issues proactively.
- Track platform and solution performance, identifying trends and implementing improvement actions.
- Lead monthly SLA and performance review engagements with solution providers.
- Manage operational relationships with partners and affiliates to strengthen performance delivery.
- Review affiliate reports and ensure high data quality and performance accuracy.
- Align operational capacity and performance insights with SCS and IDM marketing strategies.
- Prepare and present operational insights for MANCO.
- Monitor ROI of marketing activities and provide performance insights.
Reporting Management
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of all operational and performance reports.
- Maintain real‑time dashboards and validate data integrity.
- Oversee timely production and distribution of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Compile and circulate the daily performance snapshot to leadership and operational teams.
- Provide reporting inputs for bi‑weekly marketing meetings.
- Collaborate with the Data Team to improve data accuracy, automate reporting, and enhance dashboards.
Risk Management
- Participate in monthly risk meetings and provide operational risk updates.
- Support implementation and tracking of operational risk mitigation plans.
- Escalate overdue actions and ensure closure in line with compliance requirements.
Project Management
Lead the operational execution and coordination of multi‑stakeholder projects including:
- Performance tools (coach, platform, marketing)
- Operational process enhancements
- Platform integrations and ecosystem system/tool integrations
- Digital optimisation initiatives
Core responsibilities:
- Manage project timelines and critical deliverables
- Ensure cross‑functional alignment (Marketing, Data, Tech, Risk, Branch)
- Drive business readiness and operational stability post‑implementation
Qualification and Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Operations, Finance, or related field).
- 5+ years’ experience in an operations environment, ideally within financial services, fintech, or credit solutions.
- Experience working with digital platforms and cross‑functional teams.
- Strong reporting, analysis, and dashboard interpretation experience.
- Proven project execution experience.
