What will you do?
The Product Lead for Sanlam Group Loyalty & Rewards (supporting SLS) will manage the overall product and delivery streams within Sanlam Life & Savings (SLS), working closely with the product houses SRM, SRS, Glacier, Sanlam Connect, and Sanlam Corporate. The role focuses on developing and embedding the customer value proposition (CVP) into these product houses, ensuring seamless alignment of timelines, execution, and delivery management. You will own the end-to-end roadmap, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and ensure that Loyalty & Rewards product is consistently integrated into SLS offerings as part of Sanlam’s broader digital and loyalty strategy.
What will make you successful in this role?
Product Strategy & CVP Development
Define and align CVP with SLS product houses (SRM, SRS, Glacier, Connect, Corporate).
Embed rewards and loyalty mechanisms into existing and new product offerings.
Balance customer acquisition, retention, and engagement objectives with SLS business goals.
Delivery & Execution
Manage the overall product and delivery roadmap across SLS, ensuring milestones are achieved.
Coordinate with Tech, Data, and Ops teams to deliver integrations and product rollouts.
Monitor dependencies across business units and proactively mitigate delivery risks.
Ensure the team backlog is visible, transparent, and prioritised, giving all stakeholders clarity on delivery commitments.
Help manage and remove impediments that block Tech, Design, and Product Owners, enabling them to deliver effectively on requirements from product houses.
Stakeholder & Partner Management
Serve as the key product interface between Sanlam Group Loyalty & Rewards and SLS product houses.
Facilitate ongoing alignment with SLS leadership and Sanlam FinTech.
Drive collaboration with marketing, legal, and compliance to ensure seamless delivery.
Governance & Compliance
Oversee delivery governance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Track delivery outcomes, report progress, and align with broader programme governance.
Qualification and Experience
Knowledge and Skills
Strong product management and delivery leadership experience in financial services.
Experience working with multiple product houses or business units.
Proven stakeholder management skills at senior and executive level.
Deep understanding of customer value propositions and rewards integration.
