As part of SanlamConnect, Succession Financial Planning (SFP) is a financial services provider with a focus on the Registered Financial Advisor (RFA), looking to grow a professional practice while offering holistic financial planning to their clients. SFP is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sanlam Group.

 

What will you do?

This is a national position reporting to the Head:  Advisory & Intermediary Services.  This position is responsible to support the Regional Managers, Regional Marketing Consultants and financial planners with the role out of the SFP value proposition and the enablement of the go to market initiatives and lead the Sales Enablement Marketing team. Key responsibilities for this role are:

Outputs /Core Tasks (Key Responsibilities will include):
Sales Enablement Strategy & Execution
•    Develop and execute a structured Sales Enablement Strategy aligned to G2M objectives and business growth priorities.
•    Design and implement a marketing enablement framework that drives advisor productivity and sales effectiveness via RMC’s
•    Drive cross-sell and upsell initiatives to unlock revenue growth opportunities across the business, via the RMC’s
•    Set and execute the national campaign calendar. 
•    Ensure a strong bias for action, focusing on practical execution and measurable impact.

Advisor Enablement & Practice Development
•    Build, maintain, and continuously improve advisor toolkits, playbooks, and sales resources.
•    Simplify product positioning and enhance advisor client engagement capabilities.
•    Support initiatives that enable advisors to diversify income streams, scale their practices, and grow beyond individual capacity.
•    Translate business strategy into actionable enablement solutions for advisors.

Brand Management & Market Presence
•    Oversee and maintain consistent brand positioning across the business.
•    Govern how the organisation presents itself in the market, ensuring alignment with the value proposition.
•    Deliver high-quality, on-brand collateral for management, staff, and advisors via SEM team.
•    Ensure all outputs reflect credibility, professionalism, and strategic messaging.

Marketing Content Development
•    Oversee the creation of impactful marketing collateral, presentations, and client-facing materials.
•    Ensure all content aligns with brand identity, value proposition, and compliance standards.
•    Drive a consistent, compelling narrative that supports advisor conversations and client engagement.
•    Collaborate with product providers for marketing enablement. 

Digital Enablement
•    Set and execute the digital media (inclusive of social media) strategy.
•    Implement and optimise digital platforms and tools that enhance advisor productivity and client experience.
•    Integrate marketing technology seamlessly into sales processes to support scalable growth.
•    Drive adoption of digital tools across the advisor base.

Performance Measurement & Optimisation
•    Define and track key performance indicators (e.g. advisor adoption, productivity, conversion rates).
•    Monitor effectiveness of enablement initiatives and optimise based on data-driven insights.
•    Provide regular reporting on performance, impact, and opportunities for improvement.
•    Collate Return on Marketing investment from regional events, sponsorships and campaigns. 

Team Leadership
•    Lead and manage the Sales Enablement & Marketing (SEM) team, including designers and social media support.
•    Foster a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, creativity, and accountability.
•    Provide clear direction, coaching, and prioritisation to ensure delivery excellence.

•    Partner closely with regional marketing consultants to ensure alignment and effective regional execution.
•    Collaborate across business units to ensure integrated delivery of enablement and marketing initiatives.
•    Act as a central point of coordination between strategy and execution.

•    Stay ahead of industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools in sales enablement.
•    Introduce innovative approaches to improve advisor effectiveness and client engagement.
•    Continuously refine frameworks, content, and tools to enhance impact and scalability.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications & experience:  
•    Grade 12
•    Commercial/Financial or business-related diploma/degree is preferable
•    Extensive Financial Services experience in a marketing/sales or operations environment
