We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.
What will you do?
As a systems analyst, you will join the InfoArchive team accountable for delivery of the archiving requirements.
This team will have as its purpose to archive data from any area within the Sanlam Group.The archiving typically will include working with the relevant application team to:
• Compile the specification
• Extract the data
• Take-on the data and define queries
• User Testing
What will make you successful in this role?
- Communicate with the relevant stakeholders of the applications to be archived:
- Briefing them on the process
- Explain what deliverables are expected from the business
- Explain the user testing process and hand-over
- Work with the relevant analyst to elicit the information required
- Elicit and Analyse requirements received from business and ensure that all gaps are closed.
- InfoArchive and Content Management
- Guide the relevant business unit from a live application to an archiving solution.
- Produce quality outputs.
- System requirements Document
- Data mapping from old to new
- User roles and security
- User stories with acceptance criteria for queries
- User Acceptance Testing (test cases and testing with he business up to sign-off)
- Provide the necessary documentation to the Content Management team where there is a need for unstructured data to be archived and linked to InfoArchive.
- Assist the Content Management team with information required by supplying the relevant user stories.
- Be part of and assist the Content Management team where possible to deliver a solution that satisfies the requirements.
- Include the Content Management link in all testing and communication with the users as part of the InfoArchive user interactions.
- Create consensus across the design, dev and test streams (via grooming or refinement sessions) so that the requirement is well understood and ready for implementation.
- Provide support throughout the design, development and testing processes through to user acceptance.

- Demonstrate good relationship building capabilities.
- Ability to interact at all levels of a business including executive management and across business units within the Sanlam Group.
- Ability to influence and create alignment across stakeholders.
- Meet deadlines and manage commitments.
Qualification
- Matric
- Degree or Diploma in Information technology or similar/relevant qualification would be preferable.
Experience
- 1-2 years experience in a Systems Analyst capacity
- Experience in:
- Completing InfoArchive technical specifications and hand over to the technical team.
- Completing specifications for Content Management requirements.
- User testing (compiling test packs, manage user testing up to sign-off)
- Exposure to:
- InfoArchive and Content Management, or similar.
- Agile and Scrum
- Proven working experience in a technical environment involving databases and multiple platforms.
Knowledge
- Understanding of / working as part of the full SDLC
- Has worked (hands-on) in a technical environment involving databases, multiple platforms.
- Ability to map data (structured/unstructured) from old to new.
- Sound knowledge of the full SDLC
