What will you do?
Job Purpose
To contribute to the high standard of training by: Managing, maintaining and optimising our Learning Management Systems (LMS) platforms to ensure effective delivery, tracking, and reporting of learning and development activities, and; Design, coach and develop SCORM/xAPI compliant e-learning content that improves knowledge, skills and performance; and Support and coordinate all administrative processes related to training.
Key Outcomes
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the LMS Administrator and e-Learning consultant:
LMS Administrator:
- Enhancing, manage and maintain our Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring optimal performance, and user experience.
- Upload, configure, and test e-learning courses, videos, and resources—making sure every piece of content works, and displays as it should.
- Create and manage user accounts, learning paths, and enrolments for employees across the business.
- Generate and analyse learning reports to track progress.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and liaise with role-players or IT to resolve them quickly.
- Stay ahead of LMS updates, new features, and best practices to continuously improve our learning platform.
E-Learning:
- Design (storyboard, or proof of concept - POC) and develop interactive e-learning modules using tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Microsoft Mailchamp, Adobe Pro Suite, etc.
- Integrate multimedia elements into e-learning, to enhance the learning experience and learner engagement.
- Coach team members on designing and developing storyboards and e-learning building blocks.
- Collaborate with team members to adapt classroom training to e-learning
- Test and troubleshoot courses to ensure seamless functionality across devices and browsers.
- Implement SCORM/xAPI standards for LMS compatibility and track learner progress.
- Continuously improve courses based on learner feedback and analytics.
General administrative tasks:
- Assist with BBBEE audits by gathering all required documents and submitting to the stakeholders.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by capturing training interventions and spend on SAP monthly.
- Assisting with the preparation of learning environments.
- Support the Technical Training team on training related interventions or projects where needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant business experience and product knowledge within a LISP would be advantageous.
- Higher Certificate in Occupational Directed Education as Training Practitioner (NQF L5) would be advantageous.
- Demonstratable experience using tools such as Articulate 360, Vyond, Moodle, SAP SuccessFactors, Adobe Suite (i.e., an online portfolio of evidence).
- Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Graphic Design experience will be advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
- Some experience in a similar role will be advantageous.
- Relevant regulatory legislation and compliance knowledge will be advantageous.
- Glacier experience would be advantageous.
