What will you do?
Job Purpose
The Offshore Specialist GI will be responsible in supporting the Glacier International distribution strategy in maintaining, growing and training across a portfolio of international investment intermediaries and distribution partners, increasing the Sanlam Group’s market share of international business via the various distribution structures that Glacier International utilises.
Key Outcomes
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by the Offshore Specialist:
- Seize the opportunity to drive dynamic new business targets whilst maintain existing relationships and ensure retention of an existing portfolio of clients.
- Implementing a forward-thinking intermediary support model that streamlines collaboration between GI, intermediaries and Sanlam Group & Glacier distribution partners, that includes:
- Timely, insightful, and precise information on offshore investing, products, funds, and services, becoming the go-to source for trusted expertise and innovative solutions.
- Ignite growth through knowledge and training. Empowering intermediaries’ practices to flourish as offshore investment specialists.
- Drive the offshore investment discussion through specific projects and marketing campaigns
- Engage with internal stakeholders, presenting solutions, contributing to product development, operations and client service improvement and efficiencies.
- Identifying broker needs and sharing, communicating and developing tools and structures to enhance the GI proposition.
- Take the initiative to co-ordinate and nurture strong, effective service level agreements with all your distribution stakeholders
- Lead by example, engage our partners, encourage excellence and support the greater team
Qualifications and Experience
- Relevant financial/ investment qualification (Financial tertiary qualification)
- At least 5 years of experience in the financial services industry, experience in distribution is an advantage. Exposure to specialising in investments and CFP will also be an added advantage.
- Having established relationships in the region will be an advantage
- Demonstrating previous roles of support and development of intermediary practices
- Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
- Technical knowledge about retail investment products. International products will be an advantage
- A valid Driver’s License and own reliable vehicle
- Must be willing to travel
