About the role

Sanlam Investments is seeking a senior PowerPoint and presentation design lead to oversee and elevate the organisation’s presentation capability. This role will lead the development of enterprise level templates and drive high quality visual communication through exceptional presentation design.
The successful candidate will combine creative expertise with strong technical PowerPoint proficiency. The role also carries responsibility for integrating AI tools into presentation workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and creative output across
the business.

Key responsibilities

Strategic leadership

Lead and manage the organisation wide presentation and PowerPoint capability. Set standards, governance, and processes that ensure consistency and quality across all presentation outputs. Support high profile communication requirements for senior leaders, including board level and investor presentations.

Presentation design

Design high quality presentations that communicate complex financial, strategic, and operational information with clarity and impact. Guide the development of visual narratives and presentation storylines accross all the Sanlam Investments brand environments. Provide creative direction and support to teams producing their own materials.

Template and toolkit development

Build and maintain advanced PowerPoint templates, toolkits, and slide libraries for use across Sanlam Investments. Ensure technical accuracy across layout structures, colour systems, typography, and data visualisation components. Produce guidance and documentation that enable teams to use templates effectively.

AI enabled workflow integration

Integrate AI tools into presentation production processes, including content structuring, visual generation, and quality assurance. Develop and refine AI supported workflows that drive efficiency and accuracy. Train colleagues in the responsible use of AI within PowerPoint.

Stakeholder engagement

Work closely with C suite executives, senior leaders, and subject matter experts to understand communication objectives.
Manage stakeholder expectations and advise on best practice for visual storytelling and presentation design. Build strong relationships across the organisation to support adoption of consistent presentation standards.

Quality assurance

Review high priority materials to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with brand and regulatory requirements. Provide constructive feedback to internal teams and maintain high standards of design quality. Monitor developments in design, data visualisation, and AI to ensure the organisation remains aligned with modern communication practices.

Required skills

Technical and creative expertise

Expert knowledge of PowerPoint, including template engineering, master slide architecture, and theme management. Strong design capability across layout, typography, composition, hierarchy, and data visualisation. Ability to create sophisticated graphics directly in PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite

Senior stakeholder management

Experience working with C suite or senior executives in a corporate or financial environment. Strong communication and advisory skills that support accurate interpretation of strategic messages. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage sensitive information with discretion.

AI capability

Experience using AI tools for presentation design, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and image generation tools. Ability to assess AI outputs for accuracy, brand alignment, and compliance. Understanding of how to scale AI driven workflows across teams.

Qualification and Experience

Min 7 years PP design experience in a senior capacity
Qualifications: Ndip in Creative Arts/ Graphic Design or any similar formal creative / presentation / design educational studies.
Background in asset management, financial services, or related corporate sectors.
Experience in data storytelling, investor communication, or leadership reporting.
Familiarity with motion graphics, simple animation, or video editing tools.
