Sanlam Alternative Investments (SAI)
The purpose Sanlam Alternative Investments (SAI) business is to help build the African continent and make a real sustainable difference in the emerging economies in which we operate in, aligning to the Sanlam Group’s mission of financial inclusion. The SAI business has a broad range of capabilities that include Private Equity, Specialised Finance, Property, Infrastructure and Partnerships. Sanlam is the biggest non-banking financial institution on the continent, operating in Africa for over 100 years.
What will you do?
• Perform detailed analysis, documentation of processes, and map data.
• Analyse As-Is "Week in the Life of" (WILO) processes, identify and propose solutions to close the gaps.
• Develop Activity-level Business Process Maps and RACIs for both As-Is and To-Be states/processes.
• Engage with various stakeholders to understand and elicit the business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into appropriate detail and level for solution implementation.
• Map As-Is Processes and WILO to User Stories, providing input for High-Level Design.
• Craft a comprehensive strategy or case-for-change document for the project.
• Define detailed requirements for system implementation based on the gap analysis.
• Ensure thorough testing of implemented solutions and alignment to business strategy.
• Be fully engaged in the Software Development Life Cycle, embracing both agile and hybrid methodologies.
• Assess current system-based processes, identify opportunities for simplification.
• Explore technology-enabled opportunities and the development of new processes.
• Understand and document process compliance, identify trends and issues, and implement actions to enhance compliance.
What will make you successful in this role?
- Advanced Business Analysis certification and advantage.
- Experience in process reengineering, mergers and acquisitions, digital transformations, etc.
- Exposure and understanding of Asset Management or Alternative Investments.
- Attention to detail.
- Organised, structured, proactive and must have a sense of urgency.
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Must have Integrity, easily Collaborates with various areas in the business and offer Innovative solutions.
