Sanlam Life and Savings (SLS) is focused on serving our retail and corporate clients in South Africa and further developing our strategic advantages in the South African market. Sanlam Life and Savings consists of the following business units Retail Mass, Corporate, Risk and Savings, Glacier and various business enabling functions. The Sanlam Life and Savings Office provides strategic direction, coordination and support to the four clusters, as well as performing governance oversight that includes assurance provided by second line of defense functions in SLS, to enable us to meet our business objectives.
What will you do?
To manage and direct the marketing and sales function within Cornerstone:
- Identify and Develop marketing policy and strategy
•Marketing business plan – expansion of distribution channel, sales targets, etc
•Sales budget – setting of targets according to uniform criteria
•Resource requirements
•Obtain approval from CEO
•To review & update strategy & plan
•Communicate plan to employees
•Financial budget for all resources
2. Sales Process and targets
•Formulation of sales policies & procedures
•Manage sales staff performance
•Reporting of statistics & results
- 3. Customer Relations
•Report from provinces & GSA
•Interacts with the Ombudsman
- 4. People Management
•Management of the Regions provincial structures, training & development, performance management, etc.
•Visits to provinces within the Region
- 5. Develop a communication strategy & plan
•Stakeholder analysis
•Understanding Markets
- 6.Stakeholder relations
•Gain understanding of stakeholder impact on business
•Understand impact of stakeholder policies on business
•Deploy the correct interactions and processes
Qualification and Experience
- Matric
- RE 5 essential.
- RE1 advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in insurance industry, with 3 years in a sales leadership position.
- At least 1 year experience in category A.
