What will you do?

MANCO ROLE

  • Contribute to formulation of company strategy
  • Take ownership of company values and objectives at branch level
  • Implement the business strategic initiatives within branches in your region
  • Contribute to general success and profitability of Sanlam Private Wealth
  • Represent Sanlam Private Wealth as and when required in accordance with company profile

 

MANAGEMENT ROLE

  • Take full responsibility for profit budget and inflow targets
  • Drive the company culture and goals
  • Manage the investment process within the branch
    • Ensure compliance  w.r.t. the model investment portfolios
    • Ensure employees who trade adhere to the company and JSE rules
  • Responsible for the branch P+L
    • Revenue and expense management
  • Manage day-to-day running of branch administration
    • Determine and manage the relationship with the Branch Service Manager and jointly with the COO
    • Perform the review and approval function in a number of admin & internal control processes
  • Responsible for branch distribution strategy
    • Source new clients for branches
    • Agree and manage working relationships with the various Sanlam – and other - distribution channels
    • Assist Portfolio and Wealth Managers with the servicing of their existing clients
  • Manage and integrate Portfolio management, Wealth management and Fiduciary and Tax within the branch
  • People management and recruitment

Qualification and Experience
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Excellent understanding of the stock-broking / investment / wealth management industry
  • 8 years experience in the industry
  • Tertiary qualification with CFA/CA/LLB an advantage
  • Regulatory examination 1 and 3 applicable to category II FSPs.
Knowledge and skills
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of financial markets
  • Knowledge of the trading environment
  • Computer literacy
