What will you do?
Data Analysis
- Collect, clean, and preprocess raw data from various sources
- Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights to support business objectives
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and investigations to discover hidden patterns
- Creating and updating process documentation for new and existing processes
- Design and mapping of new processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, contribute to data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data policies
- Establish and maintain data quality standards
- Contribute to data governance initiatives and ensure compliance with data policies
- Requirements gathering for new or existing projects
Static Data Maintenance
- Updating client records for new information and/or changes in circumstances
- Assist with extracting / reporting on client static data and periodic reviews of static account data
- Engaging with internal stakeholders on queries related to client and account static data
Instrument Maintenance
- Assist with creating offshore instruments on internal back office systems
- Monitor pricing of offshore instruments, including resolving pricing exceptions
- Respond to queries and investigations related to instruments and pricing
- Collect, clean and reprocess raw data from various sources and ensure data accuracy, completeness and integrity
- Collaborate with the data function, IT teams and other relevant stakeholders in conducting testing and implementing requirements for projects
Qualifcation and experience
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or Economics
- 3-5 years experience in financial services industry
Knowledge and skills
- Extensive financial services / stockbroking experience required, especially of the private client business environment
- Deep understanding of international financial markets and market data in terms of instruments, pricing and corporate actions
- Knowledge of KYC and AML legislation and regulations applicable to onboarding new clients
