What will you do?
The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day activities with regard to data.
The candidate, whilst needing to be able to cope with daily deliverables, will need to ensure ad hoc request are attended to.
The position requires someone who is organised, self-disciplined, has an eye for detail and somewhat of a futurist.
Key responsibilities:
- Data verification checks of automated internal and external data loads, ensure accurate data is loaded into systems.
- Data interpretation and understanding of static data for all asset classes.
- Enrich data with information required for internal and external client reporting.
- Run data audits and clear any data discrepancies.
- Data reporting for regulatory purposes.
- Query resolution with regards to data discrepancies.
- Data enhancement strategies – Improvements of current state.
- Data enhancement strategies - works with resources to develop database strategies to support company requirements.
- Ongoing system development:
- Analyse business requirements
- Write specifications.
- Test development
- Sign-off development.
- Limited investment operations functions.
- Back up for other team members.
Qualifications and experience:
- A relevant tertiary financial qualification
- 3 or more years’ experience in a similar role in asset management
- Financial instrument data experience is essential
- HIPORT & NX Manager knowledge would be an advantage
- Programming experience would be advantageous.
