The Group's five business clusters (Sanlam Fintech, Sanlam Life and Savings, Sanlam Investment Group, Sanlam Allianz and Santam) house the Group's business operations. The Group Office provides strategic direction and support to the five clusters, assisting them in realising their strategies and meeting their business objectives. The Group Office is responsible for governance and for the Group's centralised functions, which include: Finance, Actuarial and Risk Management, Strategy, Human Resources, Market Development and Sustainability.

 

What will you do?

The role resides in the Group Office and reports to the Executive Head: Group Financial Reporting.
 
The Group Finance function supports the clusters with a wide range of specialist support services such as Tax Services, Financial Reporting, Internal Audit, and Investor Relations. 

 

An exciting opportunity to assist the Executive Head: Group Financial Reporting with the development and implementation of group-wide performance management tactical initiatives. The role will be responsible for liaison with business stakeholders to identify business performance insights and monitor the implementation of actions to optimise Group Reporting & Insights and Data Analytics.

What will make you successful in this role?

The following are some of the key deliverables through which this role will add value: 

 

  • Drive the preparation of the Business review and detailed planning and forecasting processes. 
  • Responsible for liaison with business stakeholders to identify business performance insights and monitor the implementation of actions to optimise Group.
  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of reports to be submitted to the FD, Executive Committee, and Group Chief Executive Officer. Draft, prepare and review reports for EXCO, board of directors and other by stakeholders. 
  • Report and track key performance indicators. 
  • Construct reliable control systems and the monitoring thereof. Assist with risk understanding and mitigation.

Qualification and Experience

  • Qualified CA with 10 to 12 years related experience 
  • At least 5 years experience in financial services, specifically insurance

Positioning and representation of the company brand for the division in the market
