What will you do?

The Technical Business Analyst will be responsible for bridging the gap between business and IT by understanding, analysing, and translating business needs into clear, end‑to‑end solutions. The role drives stakeholder collaboration, facilitates requirements gathering, and ensures alignment across the delivery lifecycle to enable effective implementation and business value realisation, while enhancing user experience and supporting strategic change.
The End 2 End (E2E) Business Analyst is the custodian of the requirements impacting enterprise change, ensuring end-to-end clarity, impact awareness, and alignment from business requirements through delivery. To bridge business functions through end‑to‑end analytical insight, supporting strategic change and cohesive delivery across the enterprise. This role is based in Cape Town.

Key outcomes
The Technical Business Analyst will be expected to achieve the following outcomes:
•    Build Key Relationships: Foster positive connections with stakeholders, including business owners, product owners, development teams, trainers, and users.
•    Understand Business Needs: From an end user perspective analyse and comprehend business requirements the related to potential changes or transformations.
•    Advise on Best Outcomes: Serve as a trusted advisor, providing insights on optimal solutions for business problems or initiatives.
•    Facilitate Workshops: Lead workshops, interviews, play back sessions and solution workshops to gather information and finalize requirements.
•    Produce Business Process Mapping (BPMN) and Diagrams: Will create Context diagrams and Business process flow models that will best indicate the work and areas that are impacted and what the outcome should look like. 
•    Comply to Prescribed Best Practices: Document and enforce best practices, standards, and guidelines.
•    Consider Non-Functional Requirements: Address system characteristics such as security, performance, maintainability, scalability, usability, and reliability in product design.
•    Transfer the feature level requirements as complete and accurate to the Delivery managers as well as the Delivery analyst. 
•    Support Delivery Managers and Delivery Analyst: Assist in business transitions by transferring knowledge and clarity to Delivery Analyst.
•    Provide Regular Feedback: Offer consistent feedback to Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
•    Post-Implementation Support: Provide ongoing support to both business and IT post-implementation.
•    Take Initiative and Innovate: Proactively explore new technologies and foster innovation to enhance solutions and processes.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications and experience
•    B.Com. B.Sc. in Information Technology or Informatics or any other formal qualification as a Business Analyst.
•    + 5 years’ experience in Financial Services industry (LISP / Wealth / Asset management experience advantageous)
•    Analysis experience in a software development environment with demonstrable technical exposure is required.  
•    SCRUM and other Agile methodologies experience would be required. 
•    Experience in doing documentation in Confluence would be advantageous.
•    Experience in Data Analysis would be advantageous.
•    Experience in running basic SQL queries would be advantageous.
•    Understanding the Core Principles of Data Transfer would be advantageous.
•    Experience in AI technology would be advantageous.
•    Experience in Design Thinking principles would be advantageous.
•    Experience in SARS and/or Tax would be advantageous.
•    Experience in AML PDD would be advantageous.
