What will you do?
Responsible for management and financial performance and profitability of the Branch within a sound ethical framework.
What will make you successful in this role?
Broking Duties
Prompt reaction on all new business leads and any customer query
Aggressive selling and marketing of Company products
Analyze customer needs and ensure that risks are underwritten correctly
Cross-sell of Group Products
Ensure that annual renewal discussions are done with clients in detail
Responsible for retention of all clients
Reporting Functions
Reporting to Head Office regarding management
Provide monthly management of Renewal client report
Provide monthly reporting on new business and cancellations
Ensure that outstanding amounts on age analyses are collected within 30 days timeframe and ensure cancellation of policies outstanding for 60 days or longer
Manage the outstanding claims report on a monthly basis
Management Functions
Monitoring of monthly renewals
Manage monthly management of first and second unpaid as per internal timelines
Responsible for overall profitability of Branch in relation to budget
Contain cost in terms of budget
Commit towards implementation of Bancassurance best practices
Scrutinize monthly management accounts and report any discrepancies
Ensure that underwriting criteria are being applied with regards to new business and endorsements
Authorize of all refund requests
Authorize of all ex-gratia requests
Regular interaction and relationship building with underwriters and client
Overall management of the Branch
Monitor the claims process to ensure utmost service to clients
Authorize of orders within Company mandate
Compliance within Legal & Regulatory framework
Review and oversee data accuracy and on time creation of client records, information, notes on CRM
Participate in strategy- and management meetings
Responsible for Corporate Social Investment in Branch
Claims Screening
Ensure that clients are notified of premium increase at least 30 days before effective date
People Management
Implement approved personnel structure for the Branch
Set clear and measurable performance objectives on performance contracts
Train and coach subordinates
Ensure completion of performance evaluations on set dates
Ensure sound work environment
Compliance and Regulatory
Ensure that relevant documents are checked and approved when applicable
Keep and maintain proper records of all relevant documents
Implement and comply with Company policies, regulations and procedures
Ensure implementation of FIA requirements
Qualification and Experience
Grade 12
Diploma in Insurance / Management
Minimum 6 years short-term insurance related experience
Knowledge and Skills
MS Word, Outlook and Excel
Customer service
Proficiency in English
Advanced knowledge of CRM administration system
Advanced knowledge of all policy wordings
