What will you do?

The Junior Human Resource Business Partner (JHRBP) provides essential support across core HR functions, with a strong focus on talent acquisition for entry-level roles, onboarding, transition management, and employee offboarding.

What will make you successful in this role?

Focus on talent acquisition, transition management and employee offboarding
Coordination and adding value to the recruitment process, including selection, appointment, onboarding, offboarding and reporting   
Coordinate placements of vacancies
Assist with Employee Inductions

Payroll and Compensation
Processing monthly payroll requests (commission, deductions, alterations)
Handling of payroll queries and provide timeous feedback to employees
Ensure accuracy and submit medical aid invoices monthly                                                 
Compile annual medical aid subsidy files                                                          
Facilitating annual medical aid changes process (applications, terminations, adjustments)
Assist in handling of Auditor queries during annual audit and adhoc audits                       
Assist in facilitating Job Evaluation process                                                                                -
Processing of Promotions and Market adjustment

Vendor Payment Processing 
Handle payment requests for the following vendors and services:
Media and Newspaper Vendors: Review and process tax invoices from local newspapers and media houses.
TransUnion: Manage and process all payment requisitions.
Onboarded Employees: Process Pathcare and medical invoice payments for new employees.
NEF Annual Payments: Ensure annual payments to NEF are processed accurately and on schedule.
Verify supporting documentation for all payment requests.
Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve payment queries.
Maintain accurate records of all processed payments for audit and reporting purposes    

Employee Wellness and Engagement 
Assist with wellness initiatives and employee wellness programmes     
Promote positive work environment in line with SanlamAllianz Culture and Values    

HR Operations
Providing advisory and consultancy service to staff on a range of human resources issues, procedures and policies consistent with employee standards and initiate positive change and improvement                      
Perform HR administrative tasks such as: 
Electronic filing of reports received from Payroll on a monthly basis          
Updating and creating employee files                                                                   
Monthly update of medical underwriting file indicating exclusions            
Annual death benefit update processing                                                                                                                      
Compliance and Governance 
Compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements and coordination of various committees
Social Security Commission Compliance 
Administer legislative requirements and duties related to Human Resource function

Performance Management
Assist Employees with the performance management process including goal setting and reviews

Qualification and Experience

Diploma/ Degree in Human Resources or related field
1–3 years of experience in human resources

Knowledge and Skills

Proficient in English (verbal & written) language skills; and/or additional local Namibian language will be a competitive advantage, etc.
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), SAP myWorkSpace
Strong organizational and time management skills
HR Operational support 
Compliance and governance knowledge 
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
