The Role

We are seeking to hire a Data Operations Analyst on a full-time basis, to be located at the Tygervally/Bellville office in Cape Town reporting to the Data Operations Manager.

 

What will you do?

The Data Operation Analyst will be responsible for managing and optimizing data processes to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of data across the organization. This role involves working closely with data analysts, IT teams, and other stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.

What will make you successful in this role?

Key Responsibilities:
•    Data Management: 
o    Oversee the collection, storage, and retrieval of data, ensuring data quality and integrity.
•    Data Integration: 
o    Develop and maintain data integration processes to consolidate data from various sources.
•    Data Analysis Support: 
o    Assist data analysts by providing clean, well-organized data sets for analysis.
•    Process Optimization: 
o    Identify and implement improvements in data processing workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
•    Data Security: 
o    Ensure compliance with data security policies and procedures to protect sensitive information.
•    Documentation: 
o    Maintain comprehensive documentation of data processes, standards, and procedures.
•    Collaboration: 
o    Work with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and provide solutions.
•    Data Analysis and Reporting:
o     Analyse complex data sets to generate actionable insights using PowerBI. 
o    Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all reporting solutions. Documentation Management
o    Maintain detailed documentation for all PowerBI models and data processes.
•    Requirements gathering:
o    To effectively gather, analyze, and document business requirements to ensure the development and delivery of relevant and impactful PowerBI reports and data solutions.
 

Qualifications and Experience


o    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
o    2-4 years of experience in data operations, data management, reporting or a related role.
o    Short Term Insurance experience (Advantageous)
 

Skills and Competencies

•    Technical Skills: 
o    Proficiency in PowerBI and data reporting systems (e.g., Avaya POM, Qlikview, MS Office Suite).
o    Strong understanding of call center functions and operations will be a distinct advantage
•    Analytical Skills: 
o    Ability to derive insights from data and present to diverse stakeholders. 
•    Communication Skills: 
o     Strong negotiation skills and ability to communicate complex data insights effectively. 
•    Behavioral Competencies:
o    Client focus, decision-making, enabling innovation, change leadership, continuous learning, emotional intelligence, and strategic thinking.
