The role

The Head: Tender Hub leads a centralised Group Tender Hub overseeing tender and RFx activity across the Sanlam and Santam Group. The role drives consistent, compliant and audit-ready tender execution, while improving prioritisation, governance, stakeholder alignment and value delivery across the business.

What will make you successful in this role?

  • Lead the Group Tender Hub as the central channel for tender and RFx governance and execution.
  • Oversee tender intake, triage and prioritisation across business units and clusters.
  • Ensure end-to-end tender execution is consistent, transparent and audit-ready.
  • Maintain strong governance, compliance and risk controls across the tender lifecycle.
  • Partner with executive and cross-functional stakeholders to align strategy and resolve escalations.
  • Deliver performance reporting, insights and value tracking across the tender portfolio.
  • Improve tender frameworks, SOPs and workflows to support scale and consistency.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Tender Hub team.

Qualification and experience

  • Relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Law, Business, Commerce or Supply Chain/Procurement; MCIPS preferred.
  • 15+ years’ procurement experience, including senior leadership in complex organisations.
  • Deep experience in tender/RFx management, governance, compliance and audit-ready execution.
  • Strong understanding of procurement risk, legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Proven executive stakeholder management, influencing and reporting capability.
