Risk Assurance Specialist

What will you do?

Santam Broker Solutions has a position available for a Risk Assurance Specialist  who will be based at Hill on Empire in Parktown. This position falls under the Quality Assurance function, which operates with a management mandate, providing an independent, objective assurance and advisory services to assist business in enhancing the overall operational governance, quality and service standards. We are looking for a highly professional and driven individual to assume this role reporting to a  Manager: Assurance, Risk and Compliance.
 

The successful incumbent will be required to perform quality assurance and due diligence reviews on all portfolio administration business. The scope includes:

• verification of business partner's application against their underwriting, premium collection, claims mandate finance and systems utilised.
• performing quality assurance reviews to provide independent assurance and advisory services to assist business in enhancing their overall operational governance processes, quality and service standards.
• support the Business to discharge their responsibilities relating to the compliance risk management process as required by relevant regulatory requirements, applicable codes of conduct and minimum standards.
   

Qualification and Experience

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years relevant experience
• Knowledge of risk management and risk management practice
• Exposure to a Quality Assurance environment and Internal Audit
• Underwriting, premium collection and claims business experience
• Knowledge of FAIS
• Understanding of the regulatory and business environment of the Short-Term Insurance industry.
• IT Governance & Information Systems Audit
• Valid driver’s licence (able to do domestic travel )
