A position is available for a Claims Service Consultant in the Santam Namibia Claims and Adjustment Services department. This position will be based in Windhoek, Namibia.

What will you do?

A Claims Service Consultant assists with the overall handling of Personal Lines and Commercial Lines claims from the registration of a claim up till the settlement of a claim.

What will make you successful in this role?

The candidate will be expected to perform (but not limited to) the following duties:

• Ensure that claims are complete / all documents required is received from clients.
• Confirm premium and cover
• Verify critical documentation and ensure it is clearly uploaded on the system
• Ensure that estimates and claim cause code is correct.
• Negotiating claim settlement with clients.
• To conclude all the administration is completed timeously.
• Ensure that claim payments are accurate and process in timeously manner.

Qualifications and Experience

• Pass mark in Grade 11 (New Curriculum) or Grade 12(Old Curriculum) with a minimum of 22 marks
• Tertiary qualification in Business Administration
• Minimum 3 years working experience in Claims in a short- term insurance environment
• Short- term Insurance related qualification will be advantageous
• Computer Literate (Intermediate to Advance knowledge of MS Office package: Word, Excel, Pow-erPoint, Internet) 
• Namibian citizen
• Proficiency English and Afrikaans
