In this pivotal role, you will identify and secure strategic alliances, design integrated solutions and strengthen Santam Namibia’s market presence.
What will you do?
As Head: Alternative Distribution, you will be responsible for developing and executing partnership strategies that deliver integrated, tailored insurance solutions aligned with Santam Namibia’s strategic objectives. You will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure seamless integration of partnership offerings.
What will make you successful in this role?
The candidate will be expected to perform (but not limited to) the following duties:
- Lead the development and execution of partnership strategies that align with Santam Namibia’s growth objectives.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.
- Develop innovative insurance solutions that complement partner offerings and enhance customer value.
- Prepare compelling proposals and business cases to support strategic initiatives.
- Negotiate agreements that deliver mutually beneficial outcomes while adhering to governance standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure operational readiness and compliance for partnership initiatives.
- Oversee integration processes for seamless implementation of partnership solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate partnership performance against defined metrics, ensuring continuous improvement.
- Represent Santam Namibia at relevant forums and engagements to strengthen brand presence and industry influence.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 22 points in Grade 11 (new curriculum) or 12 (old curriculum)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Insurance, Risk Management, Finance, or a related field (essential).
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification (advantageous).
- 6–8 years of proven experience in strategic partnerships, business development, or insurance industry roles.
- Demonstrated ability to drive profitability, growth, and strategic alignment within a multi-channel insurance environment.
- Experience in financial performance management, budgeting, and efficiency optimization.
- Proficiency in data analysis and technology-driven portfolio management.
Foreign qualifications must be submitted with an evaluation report from the Namibia Qualification Authority (NQA).
